Will Cisa, Executive Chef at The Corner Office Restaurant + Martini Bar is an award winning Chef with more than 10 years experience as culinary professional.
Chef Will has been cooking since his formative years in Charleston, South Carolina. More specifically, a small island called Sullivan’s Island, which is also where Edgar Allen Poe wrote many of his early stories.
Chef Cisa’s inspiration comes from locally raised, grown and harvested ingredients. “I grew up fishing, crabbing and shrimping in the tidal marshes of my home,” he said. In 2009, however, he showed that his skills extend far beyond the ocean when he won the Nicky USA Wild About Game competition.
He attended the Culinary Institute of America and his professional culinary adventure started in earnest at Fig Restaurant in Charleston, a James Beard Award-winning farm-to-table restaurant. Chef Cisa was lured to Portland by the constantly evolving food scene. He most recently worked as Chef de Cuisine at Laurelhurst Market, one of Bon Appetit’s top ten best new restaurants and where farm-to-table cooking was featured.
Chef Will moved to Denver in 2010 to take over as executive chef at The Corner Office. An avid hiker, backpacker and gardener, Denver is a city tailor-made for the times when he is not in his chef’s coat. He is excited by the food culture in Denver, which brings new techniques to the craft and traditions of other cultures and from our own history.
At The Corner Office, Chef Cisa develops menus that use the superior local ingredients. The menu changes seasonally so that he can best take advantage of area farms and markets.
Dana Faulk was born in Crowley, Louisiana. With a Cajun father, a first-generation Korean mother, and the bayou at her back door, large family suppers were every week and twice on Sundays. When Dana was a child, her family moved to western Wyoming where fishing and hunting provided food, not sport.
Her net few years were spent in small-town Colorado where the family owned their own restaurant and the entire clan learned the trade. While in college, working at restaurants in Fort Collins and Boulder further refined Dana’s skills and introduced her to the world of fine dining. Dana graduated top of her class from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a BA in Business Communications. She then chose to seriously pursue a career in food and beverage.
As a manager at several Dave Query and Jim Sullivan restaurants, she ran well-respected dining rooms in some of the area’s most high-profile restaurants. From 2007 to 2010 Dana gained invaluable business experience working in marketing, business development, and corporate sales, eventually returning to her true passion, the hospitality industry, as the General Manager of SALT Bistro in Boulder. In January 2011, Dana joined the Sage Restaurant Group as General Manager of Food & Beverage Operations for The Curtis Hotel and The Corner Office Restaurant + Martini Bar.
